Will and Joey were introduced by each other by one of the most reputable Professors at the University of Calgary Business School – Dr. Bob Shultz. Dr. Bob saw and recognized the zeal, tenacity, and innovative ideas these students possessed during their schooling years at the University of Calgary, Haskayne School of Business. Dr. Bob advised Will and Joey to partner to focus on using their Ghanaian Canadian experience, education, and heritage to solve a problem in Ghana.
As founders of DOORBELL PM, we started this company out of curiosity and passion to solve this problem faced by family members, investors, and friends in the diaspora for many decades. With over 35 years combined experience in real estate, technology, finance, consulting, non-profit, hospitality and franchising industry.
When family and friends in Canada continued complaining about how their properties were being mismanaged in Ghana, Will and Joey eureka’s moment became apparent.
William Akoto is an award winning highly motivated, passionate, innovative, and tenacious leader. William has over 15 years combined experience in Marketing, Strategic Communications, Brand Building, Digital Marketing, Media, Community Relations, and Political Management.
William has been developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns for Canadian brands for more than half a decade. William has held mid to executive level positions in diverse industries such as Banking/Finance, Convenience/Gas Retail, FMCG, Sports Management, Non-Profit, Political Management, Consulting, Technology, Franchise and Real Estate.
Outside of work, William serves on several social and humanitarian boards. He enjoys reading, sports, writing for his blog and spending quality time with family.

Joey Asamoah is a well-versed, passionate, and entrepreneurial-minded individual with over 10 years of combined experience in Marketing, Corporate Relations, Insurance, Hospitality, Trade and Information Security.
Joey has lived and worked in Canada, Ghana, and China. Joey started his career working as a director of corporate relations for a non-for-profit organization in Calgary. After completing his Bachelor of Commerce, Joey worked as a consultant for two of Canada’s top IT and consulting firms. Joey later joined Insurance Corporation Northbridge, a subsidiary of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited as a commercial property underwriter. During his Masters degree in Beijing China, Joey completed two internships for Huayang Insurance in Beijing China and Haier Group Corporation in Qingdao, China.
Joey got involved in the medical sector during the pandemic working as a medical sales consultant participating in tenders and the bidding process of new business.
Joey also has over 10 years’ experience working in the hospitality industry. Joey worked as manager of operations and sales with a long serving and reputable hotel in Ghana. In 2020, Joey finally got promoted to Managing Director of Hill View Hotels and is sitting on as a part of their board of directors.
