Growing up in Canada, many of our friends, investors, and family members experienced terrible situations and events that affected their real estate investments and projects in Ghana badly.
There was never a day without a story, or an event being shared at a family gathering or at the dinner table centred around a family member or a friend in Ghana not taking care of a specific asset as promised for a diaspora or an investor.
The lack of trust, professionalism, integrity, and mismanagement has been experienced by Ghanaians and investors in the diaspora for many decades without any real solutions. Team
Will and Joey were introduced by each other by one of the most reputable Professors at the University of Calgary Business School – Dr. Bob Shultz. Dr. Bob saw and recognized the zeal, tenacity, and innovative ideas these students possessed during their schooling years at the University of Calgary, Haskayne School of Business. Dr. Bob advised Will and Joey to partner to focus on using their Ghanaian Canadian experience, education, and heritage to solve a problem in Ghana.
As founders of DOORBELL PM, we started this company out of curiosity and passion to solve this problem faced by family members, investors, and friends in the diaspora for many decades. With over 35 years combined experience in real estate, technology, finance, consulting, non-profit, hospitality and franchising industry.
When family and friends in Canada continued complaining about how their properties were being mismanaged in Ghana, Will and Joey eureka’s moment became apparent.
